Whether riding with a joust troupe, participating in armed combat tournaments or jousting in the SCA, we can help you to create the perfect set of colors.  We work with fabric and leather and can do applique work, painted heraldry and some machine embroidery.  We have worked with seasoned jousters to find out what does and does not work on the field.  All our pieces come with a 1 year wear and tear warrenty (please be aware of washing instructions) with the exception of our caparisons which carry a two year warrenty and also come with a repair kit.

It takes someone who knows horses to design and make caparisons that work for horse and rider.  At Legends and Ladies our love of horses and experience as horse companions (owners) helps us to know what works when it comes to horse garb. 

We are able to make fitted caparisons, loose caparisons, short and long caparisons, horse sheets, saddle pads etc.  We can start off of your measurements and are also willing to make a mock up of your caparison from old sheets so you can check the fit on your horse before we make the finished product.  If you can dream it we can find a way to make it for you or we can design it for you.  Our areas of expertise include custom designed heraldic images, color recommendations and full color sketches.
All of our horse products are made with extra emphasis on construction.  Seams are double stitched to help prevent pulling, We do not make full sheets of gold but will sometimes use lame's as accent to mimic cloth of gold and silver, all these pieces are backed to help slow wear and tear on the appliques.  While we pay attention to historical accuracy we also realize that horse garb must be comfortable for the horse and practical for the rider.  Our knowledge of horses and riding help with those factors.

 Let us not forget the beautiful ladies that play such an important part in recreating the pageantry of the past.  Not only is jousting becoming a popular sport for women many ladies are riding out as Mistress of Arms, lady riders and participants in hunt and equestrian games.  We are able to make custom clothing for those ladies who ride and those ladies who participate in other joust and historical activities as well.  For court gowns, riding gowns, stable wear, as well as hats and accessories look no further than Legends and Ladies.

Have a piece that you love but it's falling apart?  We can look at it and see if it's salvageable.  We have been able to change out appliques and make a caparison look brand new again.  We can also repair many rips and tears.
