Legends and Ladies

Legends and Ladies is owned and operated by Angela Harris.  For ten years Angela has been working in costuming and formalwear designing and making garments for plays, weddings and pageants such as Miss America.  Her work has even been seen on national television. 

Growing up in Southern California Angela learned to sew at her grandmothers side making her first dress at 5 years of age.  It was about the same she discovered a love of horses while spending time  in Norco, Ca with her uncles.  There she participated in Western reenactments, period trail rides and parades.  When she wasn't wearing cowboy boots she could be found on stage dancing, performing in plays/musicals and modeling in LA.

In 2006 Angela started making items for friends in the jousting business.  It wasn't long before she realised she'd found the perfect combination of her hobbies and passions, sewing and design, theater, history and horses.  In 2008 after hearing friends gripe about the difficulty they had in finding quality and well designed costuming she decided to step away from the pageant industry and start a new venture, Legends and Ladies.

Angela Harris resides in beautiful North Carolina with her husband of 12 years and four young children.  In her spare time she rides and trains her three horses.  She is the director for the children's performance troupe at the Carolina Renaissance Festival where she also is a costume adviser. 

Past companies Angela has worked with include Simply Elegant (pageant and prom shop, designer/ seamstress), Designing Brides (bridal designer/seamstress), Viacom broadcasting (Costuming), Gaston School of the arts (Costuming).
